Recovery
Training Series 2008
The
emphasis of this CCAR training initiative is to provide recovery
promotion services through comprehensive training and technical
assistance to help people sustain their recovery, improve their
quality of life and become better resources for the community
at large. What is unique about this training is the target audience:
the recovery community made up of persons in recovery, family
members, friends and allies. This segment of the population is
rarely targeted for any kind of service and CCAR is proud to offer
this community educational series.

Family Night
An alcohol and drug addiction education and support program for
members of the community, people in recovery and or their families.
Each Recovery Community Center will offer one evening a week where
family members can meet to learn about addiction and recovery
and share their experiences.

Becoming
a CCAR Ambassador (CCAR 101)
Since
1997, CCAR has emerged as a well-respected, highly visible and
vibrant grassroots organization that includes persons in recovery,
their family members, friends and allies. Simply, we seek to "put
a face on recovery". What does it mean to be a CCAR Ambassador?
We will answer this and other questions as more and more volunteers
want to reach out, give back and support the vision and goals
of CCAR. Join us for a deeper understanding of the history, vision,
mission, values and goals of this vibrant organization and an
increased commitment to representing CCAR and its efforts. Required
training for CCAR volunteers.

CCAR
Volunteer Orientation
The purpose of this training is to address the policies and procedures
for being a CCAR volunteer. After this training, volunteers will
have a clear understanding of CCAR’s recovery center values
and ethics, the policies and procedures, the nuts and bolts of
advocacy and recovery service. This orientation is compulsory
for all CCAR volunteers.

Telephone Recovery Support Training
Share
an hour of your time each week to call and support those new in
recovery or anyone who desires extra support. Volunteers will
call "recoveree's" once a week to offer support and
help them maintain sobriety.
Volunteers
will be asked to make a six month commitment. This includes completing
CCAR's volunteer application and completion of additional volunteer
trainings including CCAR Ambassador Training, Volunteer Orientation
Training.
